TERCS is a twinning project, whose concept is to transfer the knowledge gained from the LifeChamps project and to empower the Romanian healthcare center IOCN (Oncology Institute “Prof. Dr. Ion Chiricuta”, Cluj-Napoca) with the necessary skills to effectively use Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for managing frailty in patients. Frailty is a critical healthcare concern, especially in an ageing population, and TERCS aims to enhance the healthcare centre’s ability to provide better care and support to frail individuals through ICT solutions. By collaborating on this twinning initiative, the adopter can leverage the innovative digital biomarkers developed in LifeChamps to revolutionize the assessment of Quality of Life (QOL) in various patient case scenarios. The prospect of creating a multi-dimensional QOL index, combining diverse data sources and integrating them into a comprehensive frailty care model, is a compelling motivation. This approach promises to enhance patient outcomes, contribute to timely adjustments in treatment plans, and ultimately improve the well-being of elderly cancer patients. The methodology to be followed includes the identification of barriers or deviations that might emerge for adaptation to Romania, customisation of the training program to fit the updated needs if required, delivery of the training (in Greece), a hands-on experience (in Romania) for evaluation, sustainability plan and reporting. The twinning program between the Lab of Medical Physics and Digital Innovation of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), coordinators of the LifeChamps project, and IOCN as adopters in Romania has a significant scale, impacting a substantial population, spanning across multiple regions, and involving a considerable number of organizations.
