Eleni Dafli MD, MSc, PhD is a Clinical/Laboratory Reader in the Lab of Medical Physics and Digital Innovation, School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and a Research Associate in the 1st Cardiology Department of AHEPA, Thessaloniki, Greece. She received her Medical Degree in 2005 from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece, her M.Sc. Degree in medical informatics in 2009 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece and her Ph.D. Degree in the Laboratory of Medical Physics of Medicine, School of Health Sciences, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 2015. Her Ph.D. thesis, for which she has received a scholarship of excellence from the AUTH Research Committee, was in virtual patients and clinical simulations in medical education. Her research interests lie in the area of medical informatics and information technologies implemented in healthcare education and particularly in virtual patients, clinical simulations and serious games. She has a long experience as a researcher in large European and national funded research projects. She has contributed in more than 40 publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences. She has been a reviewer for various international journals and conferences and member of the organizing committee of various international conferences.
