On the 29th-30th of November 2022 the kick-off meeting of the new project " Raise Science (Research Analysis Identifier System) " was hosted on the premises of AUTH by the Lab of Medical Physics & Digital Innovation. We are so excited for kicking off another inspiring Research and Innovation endeavor. For two days, along with an amazing consortium we set the guidelines for shaping the Future of Data sharing by starting a 4-year journey.

The real value of open science data for the research community is not only to access them but basically process them as conveniently as possible to reduce time-to-result and increase productivity. Today, open access and management of research data and software drive scientific conduct posing a cultural change in the way research is prepared, shared, and rewarded in the digital age. The increasing number of access and preservation policy mandates for scientific information backed by research data services and practices, including data management plans, justifies that shift globally. The need for global collaboration on infrastructure and best practice is now well acknowledged in EOSC Across the research community, momentum is gathering in terms of the creation of policies and strategies that can foster FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable access to research data).

RAISE aims at promoting a transparent way of processing and sharing data, enabling the research community to publish their outcomes with evidence-based authenticity of the data analysis performed, ensuring at the same time the accreditation of their work. RAISE is built upon the FAIR Guiding Principles for scientific data management and stewardship to enhance the Open Science ecosystem and EOSC with services that enable FAIRness of data.
