Last Friday, the 30th of November and Saturday, the 1st of December 2018, research associates of AUTH Medical Physics Laboratory and LLM Care (Physical and Cognitive Training System), Evangelia Romanopoulou and Ioanna Dratsiou, successfully participated in the first Thematic Conference, concerning the “Municipal Centers for Health Prevention (KEP Ygeias)”, which was held in the Municipality of Igoumenitsa by the National Intermunicipal Network of Healthy Cities - Health Promotion (EDDYPPY) of the World Health Organization (WHO).
In the framework of a parallel project exhibition, the AUTH research staff had the opportunity to make a detailed demonstration of the LLM Care features and functionalities to the attendants of the conference. Mayors, deputy Mayors, social workers, psychologists and other professionals from the healthcare and day care sectors experienced the LLM Care, consisted of specialized designed programs, the Physical (wFitForAll) and the Cognitive Training (BrainHQ). All the attendants expressed their positive comments about the LLM Care, as well as their intention to implement the training program in their Local Authorities and the municipal day care centres, in order to improve the quality of life of older adults, or other vulnerable groups.
It is noted that the AUTH Medical Physics Laboratory has recently announced its cooperation agreement with the National Intermunicipal Network of Healthy Cities - Health Promotion (EDDYPPY) for the exploitation of the LLM Care Training system by municipalities-members of the network.
