We are delighted to showcase the recent success of the 10th Panhellenic Conference of the Hellenic Society of Biomedical Technology which was co-organized with Aristotle Medical Forum AMF! Among other actions, our highly esteemed Research Associates organized an invigorating workshop focusing on "Systems_Engineering and End-user inclusion in biomedical device development."

Esteemed instructors Kostas Mitsopoulos, MEng, MSc / PhD Candidate at our Lab, Konstantinos Nizamis, Assist. Professor, Chair of Systems Engineering and Multidisciplinary Design at the University of Twente, and Thanos Arvanitidis, MSc Student at BMEAUTh, guided participants through an engaging session.

The workshop delved into the integral role of Systems Engineering in the design, technical management, and operation of complex biomedical systems. By emphasizing end-user involvement, attendees learned how to tailor development processes to meet diverse requirements, ensuring successful project outcomes.

Following an insightful introduction to Systems Engineering principles, a captivating case study centered around the development of a Biomedical Device unfolded. Participants deftly navigated realistic constraints from engineering, medicine, and end-user perspectives, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

We are immensely proud of our dedicated participants who actively contributed to the discussion and shared their invaluable experiences. As a culmination of the workshop, attendees had the opportunity to document their learnings through a structured questionnaire.

Kudos to the organizers, instructors, and enthusiastic participants for making the workshop a resounding success! Stay tuned for more enriching #iMedPhys actions and let's accelerate innovation in biomedical device development!
